Qualifications- Required:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance
- 7+ years in accounting for a large multinational company or public accounting firm
- Experience in documentation of internal control systems and testing
- Experience in Oil and Gas upstream industry
- Knowledge with Power Point and Excel
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Accounting / Finance or CPA
- SAP Experience
- IFRS knowledge
- CIA certified
- Strong communication, analytical and multi-tasking skills
- Structured, process oriented and hands on
- Able to combine creativity, innovation and flexibility with an uncompromising professional standard
- Skilled in developing, utilizing and extending network of internal and external contacts Able to drive changes and influence across organizational boundaries

- Develop an understanding of our control environment and processes in order to assign and train appropriate control performers for United States onshore / offshore and Canadian activities
- Evaluate the operating effectiveness of control activities, create any needed issues and/or remediation plans and follow-up the process as needed
- Assist control performers to identify pertinent documentation to support verifications or audits
- Coordinate and monitor the control sign off process in the Statoil Process Control system including presentations to management to support their self-assessments
- Identify and implement improvements to existing internal controls and processes
- Support and coordinate the verification activities performed by the Corporate Monitoring Team
- Coordinate periodic testing of controls by external auditors
- Support a healthy control environment by maintaining open communication with control performers and management
