Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in oil and gas accounting including at least 3 years in production revenue royalty accounting
  • Experience with onshore properties (operated and non-operated)
  • Solid understanding of COPAS and Sarbanes Oxley compliance documentation
  • Advanced system experience and working knowledge in using PRA module in SAP
  • Some leadership experience a plus
  • Must possess strong technical accounting skills and experience

Job description
  • Successful candidate for this PRRA role will be responsible for accurate and timely production, revenue and royalty accounting and payments. This includes active coordination with the asset organizations and mid stream/marketing functions in activities, handoffs and results. Will be expected to contribute to the day to day processes as well as a demonstrate a continual improvement mindset.
  • Ensure regulatory and ONRR reporting requirements and inquiries in am accurately and timely manner
  • Prepare assigned account reconciliations (revenue, royalty, expenses and receivables)
  • Analyze and resolve outstanding account balances
  • Prepare revenue-related journal entries
  • Coordinate timely and accurate responses to royalty owner inquiries
  • Drive process, control and systems improvements
  • Additional duties as assigned
