Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 6+ years of experience in accounting for Oil and Gas Upstream
  • 5+ years SAP
  • Good USGAAP or IFRS knowledge i.e., successful efforts method
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel user

Job description
  • Create & maintain fixed assets master data in sub ledger - SAP Asset Accounting
  • Record reclassification of projects, transfers, expirations, write offs, sales and impairments
  • Run fixed assets settlement and perform internal compliance controls
  • Prepare and record Asset Retirement Obligation (ARO) process
  • Record monthly DD&A (units of production method) and provide variance analysis
  • Review roll forwards and presentation of PP&E in consolidations
  • Liaison with Central fixed asset team in Norway and local fixed asset team
  • Develop and maintain accounting processes, procedures and improvement initiatives for property accounting team in accordance with Corporate Accounting guidelines
  • Special projects and other tasks as required
  • Unitization & Retirement of Fixed Assets
  • Account Reconciliations
  • SOX regulations and compliance
  • Record Impairments, Dry Holes and Lease Expirations
